End Grain Tiles and Blocks

Discarded Oak

Our oak plates are made from the left over stumps of oak trees found in the saw mill. Normally they would be burnt as fuel. We buy them and make them in to plates that can be used outdoors. The sizes vary.

Square End Grain

A common format in saw mills is the square beam. Often used as a more environmentally friendly alternative to pressure impregnated timber. We cooperate with saw mills to find material that could be of new usage, material that otherwise would be burnt as fuel.

Oak Block

100 x 100 mm / 20-80 mm thickness

End grain wood tile flooring is one of the most durable flooring types out there. End grain block flooring was the preferred flooring in factories, machine halls, stables etc. and was used to cobble the streets.

Our oak end grain is available in two different shapes.

-Squared oak is waste material from the production of out door picnic tables and benches ordered by the Swedish Municipality.

-Hexagonal oak is also waste and left over from the production of signs showing where the Swedish National Park begins and ends.
