Co-lab Recycled Flooring Material
Isn’t life all about second chances?
Together with NK and the creative agency Framein, Crude Matter has created a contemporary flooring design for NKs large display windows along Hamngatan, Stockholm.
The wood tiles are made of re-cycled flooring material which was a main demand as well as connecting to the buildings historic interior design dating from 1915.
The final result showes the crude texture of the recycled material as well as classical style elements from NKs furniture design. NK used to boast a furniture department where the “NK-corner” was a concept in it self. High quality and finish with no sharp corners. Sharp to the eye but soft to the touch.
Both the flooring and the podium are made from re-cycled material.
The flooring had to be installed within a couple of hours so some corners, so some corners had to be cut. Literally.
